Homelessness is complicated. Anyone who works with dealing with homeless issues will tell you that some homelessness is "voluntary,"in that people, mostly with mental illness and drug addiction, choose to be homeless relative to the available options. They don't want to be "in the system." But this would almost certainly be true even if the
tiny palliatives we give to their existence were gone.
