I suppose it'd be a lie to say I'm shocked, but my jaw still drops a bit at the number of commenters to
this NYT article who are apparently unaware that tuition, in real terms, is more than double what it was 30 years ago. Yes, yes, you graduated college, sucked it up for a couple of years, never ever ever complained, and did ok! How dare the kids today own a dog which, like smartphones, are extreme luxuries!
