Many have wondered why the Bushies have been clearly distancing themselves from Cheney's appearance on Timmy's show. As
Josh Marshall points out, Cheney's behavior hasn't changed - it's the reaction of the press that has changed. After it, some of the press had a "we're just not going to take this crap anymore" tone, which is really a first for this administration. They're just trying to defuse the pack mentality of the press - once it's cool to pile on, they'll keep doing it.
