I have to say I'm a bit puzzled. Bush is the same person he was last year. The budget outlook is the essentially the same as it was last year, for those of us who were paying attention. The only "new" thing is the Medicare drug bill, but Bush had supported that so that wasn't anything really new either. I suppose the excellent Iraq adventure didn't give them the healthy post-coital glow they thought it would, but none of them will really admit to that. So, what's the deal?
Not that I expect any of them to jump ship, but the fact that some of them are publicly criticizing Dear Leader after 3 years of chanting the party line in unison says something.
