Suzanne Goldenberg has an interesting piece on money and Iraq. It got my attention because this has been haunting me for a long time - what happened to the money Congress gave Bush to rebuild Iraq; clearly, Iraq has not been rebuilt, so where did it go? According to Ms. Goldenberg, of the billions of dollars the administration has gotten from Congress to rebuild Iraq, only 2% has been spent. So why the hell did the administration come back to Congress and insist that another $89 billion had to be given to them immediately, 'cause they were out of money?
