I've always tried to like Bill Bradley, but I've never really gotten it. He just told a little story on the Daily Show about how the political industrial class in Washington forces politicians to compromise on things like universal health care...and then concludes:
The thing that strikes me is that as a result the things people care about most don't get addressed.
The political process pulls people to the fringes.
wuuuuuh? The left fringe is all for universal health care, as is much of the country.
