I don't know if this
earmark stuff will hurt McCain at all, but hopefully it'll highlight how dumb the whole earmark conversation is so that we can get beyond it. There are potentially issues with the earmark process, but there's nothing intrinsically wrong with earmarks themselves. Some of the projects are good, some are probably bad, as with every part of the federal government.
