With builders going bankrupt, this kind of vulture fund buying up cheap land probably will
be a smart investment. Still I'd caution that places like the Inland Empire might be losing their appeal longer term, given high energy prices. Expensive to cool, and obviously expensive to drive. Maybe the described European investors will bring along some European land use planning.
