This election isn't over yet and even if it turns out as expected I think it's wrong to
underestimate just how fast things can snap back. Still it occurs to me that one additional thing that Bush failed to do was groom any future stars. Obviously once his approval rating put him in Worst Preznit Ever category that was a little hard to do, but even before that I don't remember them even trying.
