While I do love my supertrains, even I think they're probably not worth building unless land use regulations are significantly changed around stations and corridors. While we all know that Houston has no zoning, they do have fairly typical land use regulations regarding setbacks and parking and whatnot, so good that they're taking steps to change
those where appropriate.
