Some of you may remember that it was all the rage a few years ago, with journalists fretting that some random blogger might earn an undisclosed $5 which might somehow influence their writing. The basic issue was about how bloggers were supposed to conform to ethics and disclosure standards which did not exist anywhere else in the known universe. One does wish they'd police their own
publications a bit more.
