Some days I get a bit conflicted about how much to pay attention to the freak show of the day. This stuff matters in a sense because the mainstream media covers it, but it doesn't actually really matter. Sometimes I think I should try to point out how absurd it all is, and sometimes I think that if I bother I'm part of the Mark Halperin approved news media.
