One thing I've been a bit puzzled by is the relative lack of anti-immigrant sentiment here in the urban hellhole. There's a large and growing population from Puebla, Vietnam, and elsewhere around my area, and aside from
Joey Vento's antics, I don't get the sense that there's much backlash. There's some racial tribalism going on in the schools which is causing some problems, but I really haven't had much awareness of any kind of general nativist sentiment.
