I grow increasingly enraged at all the "reasonable" people who think increasing the retirement age is the very serious responsible thing to do.
If you're 57 and you get laid off from your job, you will find it very difficult to find a job earning anything close to what you were earning before. Even moreso at 65 or 67 (current retirement age for my cohort).
