I had a conversation with someone about this recently, whether all the crazy Senate candidates are some new phenomenon. I argued that, no, there are plenty of crazies already in the Senate (
and House), just that maybe the new crop are just giving the raw version instead of dressing it up in coded language so the press can pretend to not notice.
