A lot of people on the twitter
machine are calling this a must read and an amazing story and all that. And, yes, I do think people should read it, but I think people are reacting to it in the wrong way. The story is completely common in this country, it is not amazing because it's the experience of some fairly well-known journalism guy. It is the experience of a hell of a lot of people. And, yes, if that story can do anything to push sane legislation on immigration that's wonderful, but it's the story (roughly) of millions of people.
