Following up
on this post, the sad thing is the only chance for Our Galtian Overlords to roughly do the right thing is if it happens to coincide with the perceived financial interests of Our Galtian Overlords. Pereceived is even a higher hurdle, as they all seem to believe that impoverishing most people is the way to turn the economy around. It'll only be when a few of them figure out that this might not actually be correct that things will change.
