I don't claim to be an expert on NYC housing stock, but I'm guessing critics have a
pretty good point here. More housing should be built where it can be, but really across the board size wise. Small cheap (for NYC) studios are fine for single people, but unless more larger units are built, the prices for family-sized places will remain out of reach.
