One weird thing is the inability of many to comprehend that, yes, a religious-based holiday can also be
incredibly secular. Like most people in this country I grew up understanding that Christmas was about Santa and trees and decorations and presents. Sure lots of people also get a bit of Christ on top of that, but only for very few people is the Christ bit the point of the two month long Christmas season.
