I've attended/taught at a variety of institutions, ranging from my state school undergrad to the Ivy League, and to me the problem with elite school grade inflation isn't that lots of
students get As. The A students probably mostly deserve them. It's the lower end of the grade distribution that's more problematic. Bad students at my state school got Fs. Bad students at elite institutions just might be reprimanded with a C+. Might.
