I suppose we can argue about just what the hierarchy of bad distracted driving behaviors is, but aside from just climbing into the backseat with the cruise control on, it's hard to
see that texting doesn't come out on top. Yes grabbing your cup of coffee, or fiddling with the radio, or glancing at your GPS probably aren't always optimal, either, but texting is one of those activities which takes more attention/concentration than people think. Just don't do it.
