If you're not local you won't know, but JFK Boulevard is a major, if relatively short, arterial on which cars drive fast. I have no idea what the posted speed limit is, but in practice it's "however fast we can get away with." I also have no idea whether it's a smart place for a protected bike lane, but if it isn't this is
not the reason...
