I think it's over-acknowledgment of
extreme tribalism to be "surprised" that conservative Texans might enjoy a little AC power from wind. Sure that tribalism is real, and some people will roll coal and deep fry their twinkies in actual oil just to stick it to the libturds, but most people don't care. Sure they don't want the UN black helicopters forcing them to turn their thermostats up to 87 degrees in the summer, but otherwise most people don't really care as long as they don't think their bills are going up.
