I have a Wii from a million years ago. I still play it sometimes (I tend to like the idea of videogames more than I like playing them. I get bored.) I think the novelty of the physical motion aspect of the system wore off largely because videogames are something that, when I'm playing them, I want to do in my downtime. I want to put my ass on my couch and relax and space out for awhile, not go to the gym. It isn't precisely the
same as the Kinect, but it's the same idea. If I want physical activity, I'll do that. If I want to relax in front of a fantasy world, I'll do that instead.
