Bit by bit much of the "privatized" aspects of London's public transportation system
have been clawed back, with the process likely to continue. One could ask why that's good for the place where all the powerful people in the country live, and not for most of the rest of the country, where, for example, privatized bus fares are ridiculous and service often horrible, but that would be very rude indeed.
