Starting to think the common thread of the Republican party is that they're all bad people?
A joke, sort of, but decades of journalists pushing them as the Grownups and the Adults and the Family Values and Fiscal Conservatives and Responsible Party and essentially treating them as the mostly noble protagonists with Democrats as the occasional accidental usurpers doesn't seem like it says much for the profession's collective judgment!
