More generally I suspect mass adoption of electric cars, a goal which has long incorporated a bit of hand-wavey "we'll figure out that problem," is also going to be much more difficult than people are expecting. And, no, I am not saying this because of my antipathy for Musk.
I don't think California, for example, will stick to its ICE car phaseout by 2035. Happy to be wrong!
